Wanda

  • Is the Narrator (largest speaking role in the show).  Possibly more mature with a character look. “Motherly” to the other gals, yet sassy.

Pattie

  • Soprano with a strong belt
  • Leslie Gore, Dusty Springfield, an Ikette, backup on “Respect and Aretha (duet)
  • Vocal Range: G3 – E5
  • Soprano
  • Songs include: ‘I Can Never Go Home Again’, ‘It’s My Party’ and ‘You Don’t Own Me’ (Lesley Gore), “Do Right Woman’, ‘You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me’ (Dusty Springfield)

Note: All ladies must be exceptional singers, move well and have a keen sense of comedy, as Beehive is frequently a parody.  Age range 18 – 40.  Looking for an ethnically diverse cast – especially in the roles of Gina, Jasmine and Wanda!

Some of the women will be used as backup singer/dancers for Aretha Franklin and as Ikettes backing up Tina Turner. Many well-known singers are portrayed (and sometimes parodied) within the production. Not looking for imitations but capturing the essence of certain performers.
